About us

Kookaburra Playgroup was established in August 2008. We are situated behind the scout hut at the top of Hills Farm Lane next to the playing field. We are an independent 'stand alone' nursery and not part of a big chain. There is a carpark next to the field and we are close to town with plenty of bus stops and good access to the A24 for parents who drive. We have fully qualified members of staff who are all DBS checked and paediatric first aid trained.  

We are Ofsted registered for children aged 1-5 years old, and welcome visits by prior arrangement during the opening hours of 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday to Friday.  

2 days of the week we have a lovely office dog called Watson. who comes into the nursery. He is a springer spaniel, and loves to play fetch with a ball. All the children love playing fetch with him and watching him play. 

We accept all types of funding, including:

• 9 month funding
• 2 year old funding
• Working families 2 year old funding
• Universal 15 hour funding for 3-5 year old's
• 30 hours funding for 3-5 year old's.
